Well not really, a major incident exercise. Every year each of our stations will act out how they would react to a major incident in order to learn as many lessons as possible so that if ever a major incident did ever really occur that we would be best placed as possible to react to it - remember, no fire, ambulance, police service to call on here. A few people on the station are chosen to be in the know and act out various roles such as casualties or observers, but the rest of the station react as if it was a real incident. This year the scenario was a major fire in one of the buildings with several people injured. Here is one of the "casualties" being treated before being moved to the surgery.
Of course we all hope that we never have a major or serious incident but its nice to know that everyone is well drilled if we do.
How often do drills happen?
